Intentional Rosé made from Syrah and Grenache. Sierra Foothills and Oakville, Napa Valley fruit. Sports the lightest orange/peach skin color – a very attractive color for a majority of Rosé drinkers. Smell and taste canteloupe, white peaches, wild strawberries, peppercorns and jasmine. Zesty, mouth-watering acidity with building texture that makes the Azur Rosé tangy rather than tart. I have historically questioned the value of any Rosé over $30/bottle, but I’m a believer in the Azur for $36. They have stood behind their position as a premium Provence-style Rosé producer and refined their style over time. That, and the bottle is gorgeous!
Azur Winery is owned and made by husband/wife Julien and Élan Fayard. In addition to their Azur and Empriente wines they both assist myriad wineries in winemaking (Julien) and sales & marketing (Élan). They are two of Napa Valley’s brightest lights.Add to my favorites
