More toasty fresh biscuit and cream than sweet butter, the Belharra Chardonnay “The Search” delivers the texture and body of Chardonnay while keeping a fresh, bright quality. I get fresh peaches, ripe red apples, cantaloupe, tropical fruits (pineapple & papaya), fresh bread crust and a honeysuckle/citrus blossom edge. Can’t help but like this Chardonnay. That said, it’s first & foremost for fans of no-butter Chards.
Belharra is a new, micro-winery owned, made and operated by two ladies with notable day jobs. Anne Fogerty (Rivers Marie) and Camille Gaio (Covert Estate). I really like their passion, skill and imagination with the label. Visit their website and read about Anne, Camille their wines and their work to protect our oceans through Mission Blue.

And this is from the Belharra website regarding the label artist and Mission Blue:
Jonas Claesson, a Swedish artist who has found a home and good waves in Australia, is an immensely talented illustrator and painter. We are grateful for his participation, talent and encourage you to discover his work here.
MissionBlue’s focus on preserving marine habitats and igniting public support for the critical role of oceans in our future is championed by their Founder Dr. Sylvia Earle. By establishing MissionBlue, a network of organizations and individuals have found an association that truly impacts our present and consequential future. We are proud to be a part of this network, and look forward to continuing to grow its reach. More information can be found here, and we urge you to watch Dr. Earle’s TedTalk, and check out the “Mission Blue” documentary on Netflix.
