The exotic smells and flavors of Viognier are toned down in a good way. Honeysuckle, fresh peaches, Meyer lemon and mango sensations are there but not “in your face.” Acidity is bright and lively. Easy to drink and enjoy. The fruit comes from two vineyard, one each in Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys. The wine went through partial malolactic, and part barrel-fermented, part stainless steel.
