The Olet’te Pinot Noir “English Hill” 2019, a veritable bull in a china shop, is a bold, extracted, tannic Pinot that will find itself over the next few years. Black tea, fresh violets, blood orange, orange zest and wild dark red cherries come through, not-yet-harmoniously. Healthy gum-coating tannins I suspect will resolve themselves over the next 3 to 5 years as the flavors meld. Best drinking I’m guessing 2026 and beyond.
