A blend of 85% Arinto and 15% Albariño from cool Monterey County vineyards. Good chance you know the white peach and grapefruit jazz of Albariño, but you may not know Arinto, a grape of Portuguese origin used in Vinho Verde (amongst other wines).

The Orixe Sotelo Nebola Blanco 2021 is a radiant, intense, aromatic, light-as-a-feather wine that serves up loads of pleasure. Fresh fruit and flower sensations everywhere…yellow grapefruit, white peaches, limes, citrus blossoms, honeysuckle, touch of jasmine. Acidity galore, in sync with the flavor and texture. Killer…would gladly have a stash of this wine at my home.

I was just introduced to the wines of Orixe Sotelo. Where have I been? Husband & wife Gustavo & Jackie Sotelo launched in 2019, made, and operated – soup to nuts. Many wines on the market are interesting but I don’t want to drink them. The Orixe Sotelo wines are both…very intriguing and worthy of drinking to the bottom of the bottle. Even, perhaps, the Tinta Alta with a long decanting.
