Ridge “Geyserville” 2016

While it’s no surprise that the 2016 Ridge Geyserville is extremely good, it is debatable as to what to do with it. It’s a mouthful of powerful fruit, earth and spice, leaning more toward the savory than the fruit at the time of tasting. Dark soil, dried mint, cumin seed and anise complement the intense core of brambly red and blue berry fruitiness here.
