In 2019 Julie and John of Tres Sabores “discovered” a small plot of Picpoul in the Sierra Foothills and acquired enough to make 90 cases. I tasted it the day after it was bottled on a warm February morning (!) at the winery. It’s a delight to drink, and will all be sold to TS wine club members and visitors.
Julie Johnson’s Rutherford Bench vineyard and winery is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Napa Valley. Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on the organic estate (along with about a dozen varieties of pomegranates!). I love all the wines.
