To be enjoyed like a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, the Tres Sabores Picpoul smells of fresh lime zest, Granny Smith apple skins and fresh sea air. Zesty and zippy in the mouth with lots of citrus and crisp apples flavors and a whiff of “minerality.” Impress your friends and loved ones with this unique aperitif wine.
In 2019 Julie and John of Tres Sabores “discovered” a small plot of Picpoul in the Sierra Foothills and acquired enough to make 90 cases. I tasted it the day after it was bottled on a warm February morning (!) at the winery. It’s a delight to drink, and will all be sold to TS wine club members and visitors.
About Tres Sabores
Julie Johnson’s Rutherford Bench vineyard and winery is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Napa Valley. Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on the organic estate (along with about a dozen varieties of pomegranates!). I love all the wines. Read all my Tres Sabores recommendations HERE.
